Landlord and Tenant

Renting out a property can seem like an easy way to generate an income, but legal issues can arise. The best way to avoid a legal minefield is to agree the terms of the 'tenancy agreement' with a solicitor prior to renting out the property.

What is a tenancy agreement?

A tenancy agreement is a written or verbal agreement between you and your tenant. In England and Wales there is no law saying that landlords have to provide a written tenancy agreement, however it is best to have one. Otherwise if you have a dispute it is a case of their word against your word.

PJW Law can assist with Tenancy Agreements for either Landlords or Tenants.
