£55,000 for worker who was injured whilst laying cables

Phil has just settled a claim for a gentleman who was laying electrical cables in tunnels under London.

The Claimant sustained a fractured ankle due to an unsafe system of working resulting in surgery. As part of the claim, we secured payment for the surgery on a private basis from the Defendants and our client had the surgery carried out at a private hospital by an eminent Foot and Ankle surgeon who is famous for treating professional footballers and rugby players.

The Claimant made a good recovery from his injuries as a result of that surgery, but with some minor on-going problems.

The claim was ultimately settled in the sum of £55,000. Liability was initially denied for the accident but was subsequently admitted after a period of negotiation.
